Rogers 3G Shutdown – What It Means for G-SAFE Devices
On August 8, 2025, Rogers shut down its 3G network across Canada.
At Laxson Solutions, this change was anticipated long in advance.
✅ All G-SAFE devices already run on 4G LTE for data, SMS, and alerts.
⚠️ Only the SOS voice function, which previously used 3G, is affected.
👉 For new customers: All newly deployed devices are already VoLTE-ready — no action needed.
👉 For existing customers with older units: To continue using the SOS voice option, you will need to migrate your device to VoLTE or upgrade to a new VoLTE-ready model.
Rest assured — all primary alerts (SOS, fall detection, portal, SMS, email) continue to work normally. Worker safety remains our top priority, and our migration plan ensures no one is left unprotected.
